We are excited to post this blog post because this was officially, our first newborn shoot!
Maggie met Tim and Katie at a bonfire at her house almost a year ago. They were introcuded through Maggie’s good friend, Katie M. A little over 2 weeks, Tim and Katie became first time parents, to Jack!
To be honest, Maggie was a little nervous, but super excited too. What she was most nervous about was the “newborn” fact. Moldable, yet fragile. Although Maggie is confident at taking pictures and working with people, she has not photographed many babies. This was an amazing learning opportunity.
The morning of the shoot, Maggie had breakfast with her mom. Momma Hoffman said “Why would you be nervous. You can do anything in the world, especially photographing and taking care of babies. Just combine them. You’ve held and babysat plenty of newborns and babies. You’ll be fine.”
With that, Maggie hugged her mom and jumped in the 4 Runner and headed to the Whites. Little did she know it would be so precious, and just well… awesome.
God is one creative God with how He creates the most beautiful things on the planet and uses them for growth. Little feet, little hands, and ears. Babies are truly a gift from God. Here is one of his most precious babes.
We included the image above because we loved the contrast of fabrics and textures. The teal box above was used in our wedding. We knew it would come in handy.
Katie and Tim, thank you for trusting us. For inviting us into your lives, and for giving us the opportunity to capture Jack at 2 weeks old. Thank your Nana for us to for being a helpful hand.
Even a few days after, I’m sure Jack is changing, and growing. Remember your influence on him is greater than you even know. Our lives are better because of this morning we spent with you. We hope you enjoy these as much as we do. Thanks for being our “guinea pig” in the world of newborn photography. SO looking forward to the ones we have coming up!
