I don’t normally pray for rain on wedding days unless it’s at the end of the night… and for this wedding, my pray was answered! But let’s start back at the beginning on the day. It didn’t look too good weather wise but minute by minute the forecast shifted. Thankfully it did not impact our ability to photograph portraits and family photos which we feel are some of the most important photos of the day!
As one of our more traditional weddings of the year, everything about this day was strategic. Her mom helped Stephanie get dressed, put her veil in and kissed her cheek. Karl’s dad dressed him and helped him with his tuxedo. They got married in a beautiful church on Kent Island right around the corner from their gorgeous venue, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. If you’ve never been, we hope you get invited there soon to a wedding, it’s just wonderful and has beautiful Bay Bridge views!
Woot Woot! These two are married! We were so excited to be part of this wedding. From the timeline to the vendors to the families and the really incredible wedding party, this couple deserved it all. To be trusted by a couple like these two is unreal. We can play, experiment, have a lot of fun. There wasn’t a single moment that these two got photo’d out… a phrase we use often and what we work really hard to avoid. The whole day was fun. The guests were so enjoyable to be around and empowered us to create magic and fun for all!
What a wonderful day! There’s probably a handful of works that I could use to summarize this day. Vivacious, Laughter, Beaming, Wild, Enthralled, Humble. Just a few. This power couple is amazing. Dana and Drew’s day was nothing short of fun, laughter, a few tears, and amazing family and friends. We loved the first look they shared together and with their families. I think it’s amazing that Danas new name acronyms ACDC, so it was fitting for Drew to gift her a necklace with the initials. The day was hot but these guys rocked their day, so did their crew. We adventured to the top of Fed Hill and ended on the water at the amazing BMI venue. You’ll went to scroll this whole gallery… you’ll find a toy box gifted to the bride from a siblings, a sweet dog, and beautiful gowns. Dana and Drew, we love you heaps and can’t wait to see what’s in store for you lovebirds!
Yah! We love a good engagement session adventure! Hannah and Chris’ session was everything spontaneous that a session could have. We met these lovebirds down on the property of their grandmother on the water in East Baltimore. The view was incredible. But upon arriving, we knew that in the next 2 hours, we would want to get them a lot of variety. So out the gate, we literally told them they had no choice but to hop in our car and we would find what their vision was. So not only did we fulfill what was in their head for photos but we got to take them on a wild “location unknown” trip for 2 hours around that part of Maryland. We went until we had no light and ended up sitting at dinner at Shultz’ Crab House (one of our favorites) in Essex eating crab bisque! Thanks for trusting us Chris and Hannah! Can’t wait to be alongside you!
It’s pretty amazing how the referrals of people bring us such incredible people. In 2017 we shot a wedding for a couple named Amanda and Rob. For those that don’t know we got cheated out of half of their wedding photos when digital files went missing. We came to find out that Dropbox lost photos that we would never get back. After a full refund and thousands of dollars in data recovery, we learned the lesson that nothing is ever truly safe in a tech world.
The grace Amanda and Rob and their families extend it to us was unparalleled to the point that we will by January 2022 will have shot all three sisters’ weddings. Amanda and Rob continue to refer friends of theirs to us which is how Sierra and Dan found us. Of their friends, we shot a wedding for Korinna and Dustin as well as Allison and James which led us to Sierra and Dan. Holy moly.
What a fun session! Maci and Kyle invited us over to their home in Sparrows Point for this session on the water! We went out on their boat and drove to a beautiful lighthouse on the water. It’s amazing to see how the state changes just a short ride from Baltimore! We were able to get some beautiful shots of their boat, named after Maci. We celebrate their wedding in less than a month! We can’t wait to see you again at the end of September!
