Super excited to share this wedding with you all! We especially loved working with incredible planning team, Elizabeth Bailey Weddings. Grace and Ben were referred to us through them which we are so honored and grateful for.
When we met Grace and Ben we were so thrilled when they hired us as we knew we would have a lot of fun. The day they wanted for themselves was the day they got. A rocking dance party complete with a band and really sweet parent dances. They also had a very cool cake cutting. Graces grandparents own a local bakery, Bonjour Bakery, here in town and the cake was a cake to be smashed not cut. And I mean smashed, like with a hammer.
Ekkk! This wedding is so fun for us to share. I have to first off say that some years we shoot venues more than we have any other year, and here’s a great example. It’s been YEARS since we’ve shot at the Mt Washington Dye House, and as I’m writing this post, I know we’ve already shot 3 weddings here this year in 2 months!
It’s such an awesome and cool industrial exposed brick wedding venue in the heart of Mt Washington near Roland Park… literally where I grew up.
I’m so excited to share this wedding for so many reasons! I met Paige years ago, in the winter of 2011, maybe it was even 2012. I was working for a brand agency in Towson, and Paige worked for one of our clients. Little did I know that years later, 8 years to exact, that Paige and Matt would reach out and hire us to be their wedding photographers. I honestly was so excited, nervous and honored. I didn’t really get to say goodbye to Paige when I stopped working for that agency, so reconnecting with her was so special. There is sooo much to go on about with this wedding, so I think it’s best if I just go in order!
We’ve never done this and we thought it would be awesome to share. We get a lot of compliments on our work and our personalities and our professionalism, so we figured it would be appropriate to share some of our 2018 Behind the Scenes to show the not so glamorous part of our job… some embarrassing and some hilarious… What an amazing year we had, we hope you had an incredible 2018 too.
With colors of champagne, peach, ivory with splashes of burgundy and copper elements, you know it’s gonna be a really pretty wedding!! We met Erin and Alex thanks to one of our past couples, Daniel + Chrissy who got married at Gramercy Mansion. When these two lovebirds asked us to be their wedding photographers, we were so excited! The day was perfect… overcast skies with sunshine. The ceremony was sweet and special. We always feel like it’s pretty amazing when our couples have things in common. Both our bride and groom’s fathers had passed away and as a result, speeches were sentimental and emotional. Watching Erin and Alex throughout the day, you can just tell they love being together. From their laughs and “sweet nothings” these guys clearly loved their day! And their bridal party rocked it!
