We met Erin years ago at a Bridal Show. Fast forward to 2019, Erin emailed us, told us she was engaged and asked us to shoot her wedding. She knew she wanted us way back in 2015 or 2016 which is incredible that years later she remembered us and asked us. I felt like I was getting proposed to haha. We were absolutely thrilled when she asked us. We were excited to meet Brian and since all of us are business owners, there’s just this deeper level of understanding that we all get with each other.
Anytime we shoot new locations, we get really giddy and excited. Our couples probably think we are nuts, cause we show up, hug them, and then propose our strategy for their session. As most our couples, these guys were like… yes please, we don’t know what to do. So we set out on an adventure through a new state park on the water across the bay bridge. We had no idea what we would find but I’ll tell you, we found SO much variety for these guys. I don’t have a favorite segment for this session because every time we walked a little further, we found more beauty.
In April of 2017, Patrick and I were supposed to shoot a wedding. I ended up getting pregnant during summer wedding season of 2016 and gave our April couples the option to void contract with us since I was unable to shoot the wedding. All 5 of our April weddings kept contract and Patrick and Sarah (our associate team lead) ended up shooting all the April Weddings. Ally and Benny were one of them.
Ally and Benny’s wedding was gorgeous and I was so bummed I had to miss it. Patrick and Sarah dominated that wedding and I jokingly told them “you don’t need me anymore!”
Benny’s sister Molly reached out earlier this year and asked us to photograph her wedding which made my heart so happy. I can’t even tell you how excited I was and honored to shoot a wedding for a sibling to one of our couples.
When I think of a vibrant colorful engagement session, I’ll totally think about these two!
Maria and Shantanu are having an Indian/American fusion wedding next October 2020 and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this season of life with them.
Our time with them was super sweet… as a Locust Point couple living close to Under Armour, we felt it fitting to do their engagement session near “home” for these two. Patrick and I were excited about it because we realized in all our sessions, we’ve never done a shoot in Locust Point with one of our couples!
We discovered this really incredible venue up near Delaware called Rosewood Farms. If you haven’t heard of it or need to see what it looks like, totally google it, you’ll LOVE it. We decided to do their bridal show earlier this year and met some really amazing couples as a result!
Candice and Nick were one of them. Nick wasn’t there but Candice and Patrick connected as they talked about their wedding and the plans they had. When Candice and Nick reached out about meeting us and then shortly after meeting, they hired us, we were SOOO excited.
Laura and Kurt are some of the most patient people ever, and I’m so grateful! All day we were praying for sunny skies and we almost made it… until it was time for their first look! Laura braved the winds to go outside and have a sweet, quiet moment with Kurt before the skies opened up on us! Luckily, the storm passed, and we were even able to get a few pictures in the rain. It ended up being the best of both worlds!
Chrissy and Ryan’s session was better than I could imagine. They were pros. Their genuine affection, joy, and enthusiasm radiated during the whole time we were together. I proposed a few fun photo segments and they totally took me up on it. Wait until you see the Scooter and Ice Cream segment of our time together.
Beach engagement sessions are some of our favorite. The salty air, the breeze that hits the dress and makes it do what only wind can do. Foot prints in the sand and wet feet. We love it all. Lindsay and Matt were champions. Our 2.5 hour engagement quickly became 4 (by accident) we were having so much fun and cruising all around a private golf course (by foot unfortunately, I love golf carts). These two never tired out… except at the end when we all realized we were starving and then went and ate the biggest chimichangas, enchiladas, and burritos.
Our time with these guys was so fun and adventurous. We drove almost an hour and a half to Abby’s parents private farm on 17 acres. It was absolutely beautiful and there was so much variety. We literally were driving off road across their property to find property gems that would be perfectly suited to show off our couple.
