Up on the blog today is Morgan and Alex’s beautiful private residence wedding!
You wouldn’t believe it when you see the photos but this wedding was up in Towson, MD. At an Aunts house, a special place to the bride, both ceremony and reception were in the front yard!
I remember meeting Morgan through her boyfriends family. Alex’s sister Nicole is a great friend of mine, and I just wish she lived near by! I did family photos for them a couple years ago and Morgan came to one of the sessions. What a gem. She was so sweet and so kind.
When they got engaged and they hired us for their wedding, we were beyond excited. It’s so fun for us to photograph weddings for friends and family of friends. Mainly because there’s a whole different level of trust and fun to be had! We can really be ourselves, have fun, and try things without worry or fear from the client. If anything, they love it!
The day was beautiful, hot and so exciting. Everyone seemed pumped, ready for the fun that was to come. Morgan and Alex opted not to do a first look, so we did as many photos as we could on the early side of the day.
A fun fact about our couple, they have animals! Waffles and Chicken (both sheep), Ollie (dog), Maisey (dog), Peanut (dog), Kiki (cat) and Max (cat). They weren’t in attendance physically but they definitely were remembered throughout the day! You’ll find easter eggs as you scroll their photos below!
Morgan and Alex had such fun details at their wedding. From a barn style feel at cocktail hour and their ceremony. The backdrop for their I Do’s was a really cool red family barn. I even hung her gown up on it as a great contrast for the details! A lounge for guests awaited them after ceremony under some trees. Near the reception tent hung beautiful light filled globes that hung from the tree and galvanized bars were great sights at cocktail hour.
The reception was so much fun. Everyone loved to dance and as the sun set and the lights in the tent illuminated the white tent it was just so pretty. I especially loved that everyone was hot and sweaty and just didn’t care! When we pulled Moran and Alex away for night shots, they were more than happy to step out and take a break together!
Morgan and Alex, what an awesome day. Patrick and I had so much fun alongside you guys!! we wish you the absolute best and can’t wait to see you again!
