Up on the blog today is a beautiful Harrington on the Bay wedding. Marina and Joe had a gorgeous day on the water and we lucked out because the day before and the day after their wedding date, it absolutely poured! Somehow we managed to get a beautiful wedding day weather day!
Our couple got ready on location at Herrington on the Bay, which of course was convenient and made transportation efficient! Although they opted not to do a first look, Marina and Joe spent time with family and wedding party getting ready. Ceremony was out on the Polynesian lawn in front of over 150 guests. Their uncle was their officiant and led them in their vows as they committed to each other as husband and wife. They shared a sand pouring unity ceremony and exchanged rings. Everyone cheered as Marina and Joe recessed off the law and guests headed to cocktail hour! Herrington on the Bay has beautiful options for portraits, including a shoreline covered in cattails as well as a long dock that extends over the water. Marina and Joe also hired our film team so we were able to get them really amazing footage from the air with our drone.
Reception was absolutely stunning. Five of their favorite people gave speeches from parents to wedding party members and siblings. The dance floor was packed at all times, which we were not surprised by because Brian Crow was the DJ. Marina and Joe shared a beautiful first dance, and each one danced with their parents on the dance floor throughout the night. One of Joe’s dear friends wrote a song and played it for the couple and as a surprise, Joe also started singing to Marina. The whole reception was fire and full of energy. We got to try our 360 camera for film on the dance floor which was pretty neat! Marina and Joe ran through a tunnel of sparklers. I think we had more sparklers and people present for a sendoff than any other wedding we’ve ever shot, which was pretty awesome and wild.
