So I’ve actually known Laurisha for a very long time in her family. As teenagers people would confuse us at church which I would always take as a compliment. Laurisha and her family are so sweet. Growing up in the same youth group man do we have lots of memories together as teenagers. Once we grew up and went to college Laurisha and I lost touch other than on Facebook. I knew she moved to New York to dive into crypto and for acting ambition and I was so proud of her. Fast forward to two months ago I saw that she had gotten engaged. When she reached out I was so honored and excited because for one I absolutely have a love photographing and my friends weddings from church. I don’t even know to date how many friends weddings I have photographed that I grew up in church with. I know there’s a lot of them and it’s soo special to me!
As a surprise Patrick came to the wedding as well. Sometimes it’s hard for me to shoot a wedding without him because we do so well together. This is where Austin comes in the frame. Austin and Laurisha met online while Laurisha was home in Baltimore. Her family had moved to Florida and Laurisha was debating where to move to. After meeting Austin they have decided to call Columbia home and decide to do a wedding here in Baltimore that was intimate and honoring to culture and families.
Austin’s Family is from the Philippines and some other details in favor is included beautiful silk fans as well as soap wrapped in alba which is fibers from banana trees. They also had beautiful personalized cookies that were very yummy. The two of them had a very first sweet look in the gardens at the Liriodendron Mansion. With a very small intimate bridal party room we took a bunch of pictures. They got married and had a beautiful ceremony that was Christ honoring and full of sweet laughter.
Austin and Laurisha, we are so excited for you guys. Patrick and I love being there alongside you documenting and capturing all the giggles and smiles and the love that you guys have for each other. So glad to know that you are local and so close to us. Will have to go on a double date and share some life and memories from our childhood. We wish you guys all the best!
