We are so so so pumped to be sharing this wedding. What a crew, what a party, what a couple. Our second to last wedding of the year was unreal. The day started with a pretty high chance of rain, and it totally changed. My dream wedding day is partly cloudy, sun hidden, and rain at the end of the night, and that’s exactly what these two go. I know we are crazy, but it’s the best coloration. No one is squinky or sweaty. Cold is still beautiful weather and as I tell all my bridesmaid as they shiver in the cold “pretend I just flew you to Maui” and then they laugh as I remind them it could be a lot worse, it could be blizzarding or pouring rain.
As they shared their first look, their bridal party cheered from afar and we were able to get all their portraits, wedding party and family photos finished before the heavy mist and the start of rain came. Lauren is a lacrosse coach at Mt. St. Mary’s so it was pretty special they got married in the chapel and a her team even came to the ceremony to rally around them!
A few fun moments from the day for us was their first look, the dropping of the ring during ceremony, Lauren’s dad’s welcome speech at the start of reception, and watching Lauren’s immediate family rock out on the dance floor together surrounded by their guests later in the night. There’s so many more, like taking them outside in the rain for night shots, them dancing in front of their cake right before cutting it, and so many more.
Lauren and Kyle, we loved your day. We loved watching how you treat each other, like when Kyle helped you by picking up your train on multiple occasions, and that moment when you kissed her hand immediately after her dad gave her to you. Such incredible moments, radiant ones. Thanks so much for being our friends since day one, for trusting us and allowing us and empowering us to do what we love, really. We love you guys. You’re always welcome here and Zeke thinks you’re pretty cool too!
