Katie and Matt’s engagement session in Downtown Annapolis was the perfect mix of charm, romance, and waterfront magic. Annapolis is one of our favorite spots for portraits—it has everything: cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and the serene backdrop of the harbor. Pair that with Katie and Matt’s effortless connection, and you get an evening filled with laughter, romance, and so much beauty.
We started our session walking along the brick-lined streets at the top by the Capital building. Annapolis always feels like stepping into a storybook, and Katie and Matt made it even better. They were completely at ease together—hand in hand, laughing, and soaking up every moment. Whether we stopped in a quiet side street or near the historic charm of the State House area, these two made the city come alive.
From there, we headed toward the docks. The sailboats in the harbor, paired with the soft light reflecting off the water, gave us the dreamiest backdrop. Katie and Matt leaned into one another on the pier, giving kisses and just enjoying the view. The way they laughed and smiled at each other made every frame so genuine—it was clear they were having just as much fun as we were.
One of my favorite moments was when Matt twirled Katie under the columns of a grand building downtown. It felt playful and romantic all at once—like a little glimpse into their wedding day ahead. Moments like these are why engagement sessions are so special—they give couples the space to simply be together in a place they love, without rush or schedule.
As the evening came to a close, the glow of downtown Annapolis wrapped around us.
