Today on the blog we are sharing photos from Sara Cowen’s baby shower!! This was an absolute dream to shoot – it was a beautifully designed, intimate baby shower held at Woodbury Kitchen in Baltimore. I loved the use of farmhouse tables with fresh flowers, blue water goblets, and the way they used the menu + games to enhance the table settings. The blues and yellows everywhere reminded me of sunshine and excitement, and all of the decor was perfect for their “Here Comes the Son”! They had a beautiful balloon arch in the center of the room, and a fun sign at the entrance where people could guess which day Baby Cowen would arrive. The shower started out with a game of who could find the hidden baby socks. Then everyone mingled with mimosas and some light bites. When everyone sat down for brunch, food was served family style (another reason to love farmhouse tables) and Sara, her mom, and mother in law thanked guests for coming, and played some games. My favorite was when everyone cut a string they thought would be the size of Sara’s belly – so funny to see her display the closest, smallest, and largest guesses. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. It was so fun to meet and photograph friends and family that had come to celebrate the baby boy, and to shower his parents with gifts and love!
