Some sessions come with the perfect golden light and a mild breeze. And some? Some come with WIND. Like hold-onto-your-hats, let’s-get-creative kind of wind. Bri and Josh’s engagement session at Potomac Golf Course definitely fell into the second category — and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
From the moment we met up, the wind was in full force, and the temps were way lower than they looked. But Bri and Josh showed up with the kind of energy that made it all feel like summer. They were ready to laugh, explore, and totally trust the process — even if that meant navigating gusts of wind like pros.
We cruised all around the golf course, chasing pockets of calm where structures could block the wind just enough to give us some romantic, quiet moments. And when there was nowhere to hide from it? We embraced it. We leaned into the drama of the moment, and it made for some seriously bold, sexy, windswept images that looked straight out of a fashion editorial.
One of our favorite parts? Popping champagne with the Washington Monument and the Wharf behind them — such an iconic and electric backdrop. Despite the chill, Bri and Josh made it look like a midsummer celebration.
Afterward, we capped off the session the best way possible — tacos. We found this tucked-away, authentic Mexican taco joint that somehow didn’t have a wait in the middle of Mardi Gras in DC (total unicorn situation). It was cozy, delicious, and the perfect way to end an epic day.
Bri and Josh — we had the best time with you and we’re beyond excited for the wedding day. If this session is any indication, it’s going to be incredible. Let’s goooo!
