Ashleigh and Max are just the goofiest! Our assistant Sarah met up with them a couple of weeks ago at the Shrine of St. Anthony here in Ellicott City! This will also be the site of their wedding next month. We can’t wait to celebrate these two and their special day!
We had a ton of fun, even through the heat! The butterflies were out in the butterfly garden and the sun lit up the grounds. We felt like VIPs at this venue because it’s not a public wedding venue. They wanted their engagement pictures to be at the same venue as their wedding!
A little over a week ago, we showed up at one of our favorite venues, Belmont Manor, to find all the bridesmaids dressed, looking killer, and a beautiful bride with the biggest smile on her face.
Kimmie and Shawn got married outside on the property of the gorgeous historic Belmont Manor in front of lots of family and friends. These two are sweet souls. It’s totally obvious how much Shawn loves Kimmie and Kimmie loves Shawn. From their giggles moments before their first look, to their kisses snuck between clicks of the camera, these too ROCKED their wedding day, had a blast, and loved every minute.
I remember exactly where I was on that day in 2011. I remember seeing girls at school crying. I remember a girl on her phone rushing through the hallway at Bryn Mawr making sure her dad was out of the building. I had no idea what was happening, but something horrific had happened. We will never forget 9/11.
This past Monday was 9/11. We had the honor of photographing a tribute to those that fight for us daily in our neighborhood at our Ellicott City Mission BBQ and to honor those that lost their lives on and after September 11, 2001.
Zeke turns 5 months old today. I still can’t believe he’s ours. He’s found his toes (so much so he eats them), he’s rolling over, and giggling. We love him so.
A lot of people continue to ask me questions about my delivery, my pregnancy, and so I decided it was time to share about it and wanted to share it through pictures too.
Justin and Alyssa seriously have the best luck with rain. Let me explain.
Justin had this amazing proposal planned downtown at the 4 Seasons. As he was getting ready to propose… a huge storm with torrential rain blew in, and Justin was freaking out about where on earth he would propose that night that was the least bit dry. So… he proposed on the steps of the Four Seasons hotel. A stunning backdrop to a proposal I must say.
It was only fitting that their engagement session had to include rain. We were going to postpone the shoot but Alyssa and Justin said “let’s go for it.” The first two hours of their 3 hour, 2 location shoot was perfect. Overcast skies at Cylburn was just what we wanted and these guys ROCKED their session. Gorgeous lighting. A natural filter in the sky. Then we headed downtown to the Four Seasons and the storm started to blow in.
I’m so excited to share this wedding because it’s one of those make you cry stories. Sarah and Alex have been together 9 years. They are high school sweethearts and honestly… they are genuine sweet hearted people.
Photographing their 200 guest,Blush and Slate Blue Classic wedding was beautiful. I cried during the ceremony and had to pull myself together.
So even though I’m a wedding photographer, I LOVE organizing and hosting events, and of course designing them too. I joined a group of ladies and hosted a beautiful baby shower for my sister-in-law for 40 women. It was themed just like Lauren’s maternity session with sunflowers, but my mom and I decided it would be a great idea to weave in their nursery. Chevron and Baby Elephants!
First off, I think it’s pretty amazing that we have now shot the same destination wedding venue twice, two years apart.
Gillbrook Farms is a beautiful farm up in Warriors Mark, PA, near Penn State. Literally, State College is where we stayed and drove in from.
Christina and Chris’ outdoor wedding was perfect. The best weather day, sun in the sky with some clouds, and their color palette was on point for their Navy, Grey and Whites themed wedding (which pops of light pinks and coral!)
They wanted their wedding to be Old World Elegant (Romantic/Vintage) with a barn styled reception. I personally loved that the centerpieces were years. Patrick and I even sat and 1980 and let me tell you, we are babes of the 80’s.
Christina and Chris had a beautiful ceremony where they exchanged their own written vows infront of family and friends, and they were married by Christina’s Uncle, which I think is always really special when family unite our couples.
