We always tell people, you never know who will hire you, so be nice and continue to love what you do. In 2015 we shot a super cute couple, Ashley and Travis. They had a GORGEOUS wedding at the Belvedere. Check it out here… it was one hella party! Well, fast forward two years, we met Alexa and Zach, because of these guys… because our bride Ashley is Alexa’s cousin. Alexa was at the wedding and I can tell you today, I don’t remember her but she was watching us… 2 years ago!! Anyway, I digress.
When we show up to a meeting and the bride has already decided she’s going to hire you, you know you’re gonna have a blast. Caty-Betz and Kyle are getting married next year and knew upon getting engaged that they wanted us. Gosh, what an incredible honor that is. It probably helps that one of her best friends is our assistant Sarah (looks like I owe her a Christmas bonus!)… but really really, we are thrilled to have these lovebirds on our calendar next year.
One time last year, I was pregnant, and Sarah our assistant and I were headed home on a flight from Colorado. We were returning from a destination engagement session in Breckenridge. We left Patrick behind because he wanted to snowboard longer. Awesome. Sarah and I literally flew in and went straight to a bridal show at the BMI downtown. It was the craziest day of flying in, grabbing all our “expo stuff” and heading down to set up. Little did we know we would be meeting a super cute couple, Ashley and Kevin. These guys talked to us for a while and off they left, and we left later and headed home.
Old Ellicott City is one of our favorite places to shoot engagement pictures now that we live so close to it. It’s basically a hidden little gem in Maryland. It’s historic… it offers lots of variety throughout the year. I didn’t even know it existed until I moved to EC a few years ago. When Jenny and Phil said they wanted to do their session down there, we were so excited. We were excited to meet up with them, walk throughout the little town with them, and see what we could find that would be perfect for them. As you scroll through their pics, you’ll see that they weren’t shy as they hugged and kissed on the streets of this darling little town.
Jenny and Phil, thanks so much for choosing us! We can’t wait to shoot your big day!
We love shooting new places for engagement sessions and weddings. What’s so funny about the next two engagement sessions we are sharing is that they are at the same locations, and we have never shot here until now. Let me introduce for the first time… Clipper Mill. We LOVE this little industrial part of Baltimore. I grew up less than 10 minutes from Clipper Mill and didn’t even know it existed until 5 years ago, when we weren’t even full time photographers. Let’s just say, we will be back now that we know how awesome it photographs!
Ashleigh and Max had a beautiful front-yard wedding! Her parents spent months grooming their farm for her big day so she could hold her reception there. The two got married at the Shrine of St. Anthony here in Ellicott City. She even rode in to the ceremony with her dad on a horse-drawn carriage! How amazing! Max is a goofball and the two had so much fun on their special day. We were so thankful to be a part of it! The Best Man had a Game of Thrones “Hand of The King” pin, the Maid of Honor, Ashleigh’s twin sister, made a sweet slideshow of pictures of them growing up as part of her speech, and they even had a gelato truck! This was the dream DIY wedding—every detail was well thought out and stunning. Thank you so much for thinking of Living Radiant! We were so honored to be a part of your wedding!
We met Amanda and Rob at the Towson Panera, where we learned that this couple would not only be an amazing couple to photograph, but amazing friends post wedding. We were so excited to shoot their wedding day. They had a beautiful color palette, gorgeous weather, and my personal favorites of the day were Amanda’s details, her bouquet, their darling trolley, and their adventurous spirit to allow us to take them to the walking bridge off a beaten path near their venue. Wait until you see those pictures!
Happy Tuesday! We are in the office busting out weddings and engagement sessions and in the thick of wedding season, we are behind on the blog! We literally have 8 weddings and 11 weddings to share with the world!! So, with that said, we are kicking off this week sharing Ben and Rachel!
These two lovebirds rocked their session. Spending time with them at Federal Hill with their sweet pup was great. You would have never thought that these guys were nervous… they were but it only lasted for a few minutes!
We can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year!
The word “darling” comes to mind when I think of Melissa and Tom. They are sweet souls, gentle, and full of kindness. When these two lovebirds asked us to be their wedding photographers, we knew we would have so much fun and really enjoy their wedding day.
The spent their wedding day at the historic Gramercy Mansion. It’s a relic on its own. Their vast gardens are full of blooms that make any white gown pop. Melissa and Tom shared a super sweet first look in the front of the mansion, and they said I do on a brick portico, even one brick is etched with their name. Their sweet kisses and smiles filled the night, and you could just tell how excited Tom was to hold the hand of his newlywed wife.
Jenna and Robert, your day was nothing short of evident joy. You guys beamed, as did your family, friends, and your guests. The guys in their whites looked incredible, the florals in the tent I loved, and all the details that curated your story were perfect. Oh, and your surprise Bentley was pretty special too. We wish you guy the best! So sad you’re on the other coast, but can’t wait to meet up with you in the months and years to come! (We’ll be in San Diego in March!)
