When I think about this wedding, all I can do is smile. I drove with our Bride and Groom, Jenny and Phil after their ceremony, just moments after saying I Do, and they just said “Thank You.” I’m like, guys, the day isn’t even over and besides, you JUST GOT MARRIED! Woot Woot! This day was such a gem for us this May. We had wedding after wedding of rain, which as you all can imagine, is a wrench thrown into months and months of planning for our couples and their vendors. Things shift day of and everyone has to roll with it. Well, every couple handles it differently and these guys just rolled with it. They didn’t really care what the rain would do to the day because they decided it wasn’t about the rain, the day was about the two of them enjoying their people, their family, and mainly each other. We have proof that they had a blast at their wedding. Even their guests had a ball! But let’s back the day up.
Jenny got ready at her parents house which wasn’t the original plan but a few days before the wedding became the ideal location. What a gorgeous home and the sentimental value doesn’t compare. Jenny shared a really sweet reveal with her dad on the stairs she stood for prom and other dances, and it was only fitting to replicate those memories on her wedding day. Check out her bridesmaid reveal! These are becoming my new favorite photo desire of our brides! Fast forward, these guys didn’t do a first look, instead we had ample and extra time to do all their photos after ceremony and still have an entire cocktail hour to enjoy… that’s my kind of wedding!! Their ceremony was at the beautiful Loyola College Chapel. Once these guys got hitched, guests cheered and after we finished up portrait time, everyone cruised down to the amazing Belvedere Hotel. The rain was stop and start all day so we of course stole the couple for some rain shots outside the famous Belvedere sign, umbrellas and all! The reception was full of sweet (literal) and memorable moments. From Phil’s brothers’ speeches, to the custom desert bar, to the welcome by Jenny’s dad, nothing was surface or fake. We felt like we were among family and friends. There’s nothing more rewarding at the end of a long wedding day, after we’ve sweat, gotten soaked from rain, than our couples to make a priority to come find us and hug us, and for parents to thank us and hug us too. Jenny and Phil, you already know you’re welcome in our home. Now that we know you live so so close to us, you better come over and hang out. Patrick said “and come eat our food and do a bonfire with us this summer.” And I quote. Can’t wait to see what other Radiant Moments come your way!
