The best part of this job is shooting special moments for friends and family, and shooting for special people that become friends and family. The longevity of this job is great! The families grow and you get to do maternity shoots, newborn pictures, family sessions, etc. In this case, this proposal was a special moment for an already great friend. Jon, aka “Munch”, was one of Sarah’s best friends in college, but it had been six years since they had seen each other! What a fun treat to get to document this super sweet moment for them!Read More
Wow, what an exciting wedding! Marlina and Jake celebrated a beautiful American & Indian fusion wedding last month, and it was massive! Our largest to date with over 420 guests! Talk about family love and support!Read More
Sarah met up with Mallory and DJ for a surprisingly warm Sunday down in Owings, MD. These two cuties live on the Eastern Shore, but grew up near Owings and that's where their parents still live. It was a wedding-packed weekend, with Mallory finding her dress that weekend, too. These guys had a beautiful session on Mallory's parents' property complete with water, a dock, and their sweet, fluffly Golden Luna. We had a ton of fun with their energetic pup and are so thankful for DJ's mom for the beautiful handmade sign!Read More
It was such an honor to shoot Sarah and Jake's wedding. Maggie and Patrick have known Sarah and her family for years through church! While they were off shooting another, I was spending the day on a beautiful winery, with a beautiful couple, and an ornery goat.
Sarah and Jake have been long distance for so many years, both being military. They are still going to be long distance for the first few months of their marriage! I can't imagine. But if anyone can handle it with grace, these two can.
Did you know we have a secondary team led by our amazing assistant and photographer, Sarah! Yah, she’s legit and we totally trust her with our brides and grooms!! Here’s our love note to them!!
Dear Chelsea and Phil,
What a pair!! You guys literally can’t take a bad photo. This beautiful new venue is a diamond in the rough. What used to be a venue that went under called The Winery at Elk Manor is now called Bohemia River Overlook, a newly purchased and owned wedding venue by Rouge Catering!! We LOVE ROUGE!! This is one if the first weddings they’ve had since opening so we are so excited to have been here!! This venue has three options for weddings! We got to take Chelsea and Phil to all three locations for newlywed portraits since no other weddings were happening on the property!!Read More
Marlina and Jake met up with Sarah, who runs our secondary team, at Brookside Gardens this June. With all of the rain we had, the flowers were in full bloom and looked stunning! Of course, not as stunning as these two! These guys had a ton of fun and you can just tell that they love spending time together. These guys were rocking their session from the very beginning! Giggles, snuggles, and they even rocked a dip! They were so flexible and we were able to visit almost every single beautiful spot at the Gardens. I hope you enjoy your pictures! We cannot wait for your wedding next March!
Chelsea and Phil had such a fun day! They met our assistant Sarah on a family friend’s farm in Monkton on a gorgeous sunny (but cold!) day. The neighbor’s farm had cherry blossoms, a beautiful red barn, and tons of horses!Read More
Ashleigh and Max are just the goofiest! Our assistant Sarah met up with them a couple of weeks ago at the Shrine of St. Anthony here in Ellicott City! This will also be the site of their wedding next month. We can’t wait to celebrate these two and their special day!
We had a ton of fun, even through the heat! The butterflies were out in the butterfly garden and the sun lit up the grounds. We felt like VIPs at this venue because it's not a public wedding venue. They wanted their engagement pictures to be at the same venue as their wedding!Read More
When your bride tells you that she’s coming in on a firetruck, you know it’s gonna be a fun wedding. Meredith and Joey had a STUNNING Turf Valley wedding… their color palette vivacious and regal! I love that they weren’t afraid to go BOLD and colorful. I personally love when bouquets look killer against complimentary bridesmaids dresses!
From the first look, to the sweet tears of daughters, to fake money being thrown at reception, and guests wheeling in on luggage carts, this wedding sure made memories for all.Read More
Their wedding was darling. Records were placemats, the tables names were font families. These two graphic designers showed their skill in the creation of their invitations and place cards. My personal favorite was their first look. Joe's response and also his surprise songwriting with singing and playing the guitar to Stephanie was just beautiful. Their wedding day was focused on Jesus and people. The majority of their reception was full of toast, guests sharing words of wisdom, encouragement, stories and more to the couple.Read More
