We have been looking forward to this wedding for months. We found friends in this couple and in their families. They trusted us beyond measure for their daughters wedding day. Ms Dana even took me in her car from ceremony to reception and my time with her was so special, mainly because it’s rare that I get time with a mom on a wedding day, one on one. Brooke, your mom is soo unbelievably proud of you and Nick, she 100% trusts you with her daughters heart. It’s not surprising that your deep connection and relationships within your Kingdom Hall is a huge part of why you all love the way you do, and are so loving towards all.Read More
2006 in Tulsa Oklahoma. I think that’s the year we met. Halie and I have been friends for over 10 years!!!
We were roommates in college, we took adventures together, spent hours and days together talking, crying, praying, dreaming, and hoping for things to come. We prayed for our husbands, prayed for careers, prayed for dreams and aspirations to become realities. Little did we know when we would graduate what the future would hold.
Halie was in our wedding in 2013, and the last time I saw her was on our Honeymoon a week later in Florida.
In the summer of 2018 Halie and Jonathan got engaged and invited us to their July 2019 Florida wedding as guests and we were so pumped. We haven’t been guests to a wedding in years, literally. Later in the year, Halie called me to let me know they were not only moving their wedding to New York, but to December, the week of Christmas. Of course we would be there, and I knew we would be there in whatever capacity she wanted!Read More
We are so so so pumped to be sharing this wedding. What a crew, what a party, what a couple. Our second to last wedding of the year was unreal. The day started with a pretty high chance of rain, and it totally changed. My dream wedding day is partly cloudy, sun hidden, and rain at the end of the night, and that’s exactly what these two go. I know we are crazy, but it’s the best coloration. No one is squinky or sweaty. Cold is still beautiful weather and as I tell all my bridesmaid as they shiver in the cold “pretend I just flew you to Maui” and then they laugh as I remind them it could be a lot worse, it could be blizzarding or pouring rain.
As they shared their first look, their bridal party cheered from afar and we were able to get all their portraits, wedding party and family photos finished before the heavy mist and the start of rain came. Lauren is a lacrosse coach at Mt. St. Mary’s so it was pretty special they got married in the chapel and a her team even came to the ceremony to rally around them!Read More
This Sunday wedding in December felt like a Spring wedding with overcast skies and warmer clients. We couldn’t believe that with a 48 hour window, one day felt like winter freezes and the next day was a spring day. We met these cuties through James’ family as we photographed his sisters wedding 2.5 years ago.
James and Jessica had a really special day as the majority of the day was spent at their new home in Silver Spring. Together they bought 10 acres, an old horse farm, and all of their portraits from their first look, to their wedding party, to their family portraits were in and outside their home.
They wanted a winter feel to their photos, so we wove in furs, luxury details and home decor that would capture their love story, their fashion preferences and their sweet love. And of course some winter Christmas trees too.Read More
We’ve never attended or shot a wedding where there was so much smiling and so much laughing, especially during a ceremony. Courtney and Ryan had a beautiful Maritime Museum Wedding in December in Fells Point. If we had to summarize this wedding, it would be in words. Hockey, Beer, Brunch, Laughter, and genuine sweetness. This is our second couple this year to have a common love of hockey, beer, and their friends and family. This wedding is special to us because this is not our first time working with this family. We shot Courtney’s sister Carrie’s wedding in 2016, still can’t believe they’ve been married 2 years!Read More
This wedding was probably our most looked forward to wedding. Our favorite weddings aren’t always our $100k+ weddings, they also can be our elopements or 50 person weddings. Most the time our favorite weddings are the ones where our couples are sweet, down to earth and phenomenal to work with. Shooting Sarah and Graysons wedding was one of my favorites for sure because Sarah is like family and she’s worked with us for 3 years!
Sarah has been in our lives for the last 3 years… Grayson too. We met Sarah through one of our other couples and we hired her to be our assistant. Over the last 3 years she has been a crucial part of our growth, our success and our family. Zeke loves her Aunt Sarah, and Sarah has become an incredible photographer. She now leads our secondary team and has her own wedding through Living Radiant.
We’ve photographed many Jewish weddings, but for some reason, Rachel and Bens wedding and Ketubah signing was so cool and so special. Maybe it was just the fact that our couple was so close to their Rabbi that it made it even more sentimental.
Rachel and Ben were the last of our November weddings. It had rained so much leading up to their wedding day that we were all relieved when there was no rain on their wedding day.Read More
We’re excited to share this wedding for a couple reasons. When we became wedding photographers and as I stalked other photographers I thought the world of, I noticed these Naval Academy weddings that I just thought were so beautiful! It quickly became a bucket list venue for us about 2 years ago.
When we met Sarah and Stephen, I swore that they wouldn’t hire us for the sheer reason that we couldn't get childcare for Zeke and we had to bring him to our Starbucks meeting. We met with them, Zeke cried most the time, and I ended up facilitating the meeting so Patrick could walk around with a crying baby… oh and it was rainy and we were all in close quarters. Yikes.Read More
Kind and Sweet is how Patrick describes these two. When we did their engagement session we knew they were special. They were sweet, sincere, gentle, soft, and kind. They aren’t pushy, loud, obnoxious or self focused. Opposite from our personalities we somehow loved our time together, and found ourselves getting to know each other at the Mount Washington Tavern after dinner.
We have an inside joke with them. Two words: Little Sebastian. A little mole that photobombed their engagement session and since has just been a joke between the four of us.
When their wedding day came, Amy gets the award for most calm, laid back, and chill bride. She wasn’t anxious or nervous. When we met up with Eliott, we asked how he was feeling. His response… I’m not nervous, I’m excited.Read More
Alison and Alex, we can’t even begin to tell you how pumped we were to shoot your wedding. Your wedding was the last wedding we had in October. It was the last of 11 weeks in a row of weddings. We had 15 weddings in 11 weeks not to mention other sessions, shoots, and meetings. Shooting your wedding was the icing on the cake, and we were so thrilled to be there with you guys.
The day started off with the laughter of bridesmaids as I walked into the room. As we walked in, the girls were just smiling and then I saw my bride Alison, looking so incredible and so excited for her wedding day. We weren’t there long before we drove to Rolling Road Country Club where Alex and Alison shared a first look on the golf course. Followed by photos with family and wedding party, their photo segment ended with us all in golf carts cruising the property, chasing light and beautiful locations.Read More
