Our time with these guys was so fun and adventurous. We drove almost an hour and a half to Abby’s parents private farm on 17 acres. It was absolutely beautiful and there was so much variety. We literally were driving off road across their property to find property gems that would be perfectly suited to show off our couple.Read More
When we finish a session and it didn’t feel like work, you know you found a dream couple. Stephanie and Trevor nailed their session. I know part of the ease comes from the fact that we’ve known these guys for a long time. Like over 15 years!!Read More
When we arrived at the bridge, I see this cowboy. Plaid shirt and a beaver pelt hat. I knew it was our groom. Kaitlin and Justin are so sweet and so special to us. They love the outdoors, they are totally country, and they aren’t ashamed of it at all. In fact, our groom is a legit rodeo guy, and he loves trucks.
These two had such a killer session.. Wait until you see the sunset and the skies that opened up for these two. Talk about adventure. We all really didn’t know where our session would take us. Kaitlin had reached out to a few places for engagement session locations and just didn’t have any luck. So we decided to propose adventure and they said yes. We met them at the Union Road Red Covered Bridge in Frederick and stayed local. We went to a park close by and literally drove around and found beautiful spots.Read More
When I met Tracey and Jason at a bridal show about a month ago, I knew there was something different about them. It turned out that they hired us, not just because of our photo skills but because we all have a similar passion and heart beat: Jesus.
These lovebirds are one of our non-millenials. Like us they are over 30 and madly in love. Tracey shared with me that she had been praying for her husband after years of waiting. I totally understood her in this because I too had prayed for years for my husband, Patrick. Kindred hearts, we both wrote letters in a journal for our future husbands, and what I think is so cool, is that she will gift that journal to him on her wedding day. I did the same thing.Read More
The best part of this job is shooting special moments for friends and family, and shooting for special people that become friends and family. The longevity of this job is great! The families grow and you get to do maternity shoots, newborn pictures, family sessions, etc. In this case, this proposal was a special moment for an already great friend. Jon, aka “Munch”, was one of Sarah’s best friends in college, but it had been six years since they had seen each other! What a fun treat to get to document this super sweet moment for them!Read More
We are excited to share this session with you for a few reasons. Mainly because Emily and Greg hired us a couple months ago and we did their session right away at one of my favorite engagement session locations: Brookside Gardens. They have such gorgeous variety and this couple is not only cute, but they totally trusted us as we cruised the property in search of beauty. I had seen on Instagram about 2 days before hand really pretty pink azalea bushes and I was determined to find them… and found them we did!Read More
It’s been two years since we’ve seen these guys… dang time flies. We first met these guys at a wedding (though I don’t remember whose) and then they hired us to do their Fells Point engagement session! They got married in New York and unfortunately we were already booked for their date, otherwise we probably would have shot another New York wedding!
But two years laters, Lauren reached out asking if we did in-home sessions. In excitement I replied and said “NO! But I’ve always wanted to shoot one!” So we scheduled this session and early this week got to photograph these love birds once more, but as husband and wife in their home. They wanted me to capture them in this space, before they sell their home and move. Of course we had to include JoJo their sweet dog, who of course remembered me (NOT!) but still was welcoming of me into their home.Read More
It’s become common for us to go to New York more than once in a year for our couples. Almost every year we either shoot a New York wedding or a New York engagement session. I’m going to put it out there into the Instagram world and Blog world that I’d LOVE to shoot an engagement session in Central Park at the Zoo! Yes please! So if you know anyone, send them our way! Oh and with some of the Plaza in the background please!!
Anyway, Marisa and Kris hired us for their Maryland wedding but being both from New York, it was only fitting to photograph these lovebirds in the state they met, at a GORGEOUS historic state park near Chris’ home.Read More
When we scheduled our trip, we were also in the middle of planning Brittany and Juans session. These lovebirds live in West Virginia and we were trying to coordinate dates. Brittany had shared that she wanted a winter fell, in the woods, and I told her that Baltimore wasn’t getting any snow or any winter vibes. So then it dawned on us, why not do it while we are out in Deep Creek! We proposed the idea to these guys and they took us up on the offer.Read More
Sarah met up with Mallory and DJ for a surprisingly warm Sunday down in Owings, MD. These two cuties live on the Eastern Shore, but grew up near Owings and that's where their parents still live. It was a wedding-packed weekend, with Mallory finding her dress that weekend, too. These guys had a beautiful session on Mallory's parents' property complete with water, a dock, and their sweet, fluffly Golden Luna. We had a ton of fun with their energetic pup and are so thankful for DJ's mom for the beautiful handmade sign!Read More
